This delicious breakfast smoothie is dairy and sugar free and a great energy starter.
Here is how to make it:
I first boil water and steep in a cotton cloth tea bag two teaspoons of Teecino chicory organic herbal coffee, which comes in many flavors. I use the french roast flavor. Use half a cup of that and after you steeped it for a minute or two add room temperature or cool filtered water to make it a full one cup. (can be substitute with real coffee for the coffee drinking lovers.)
Pour the herbal coffee into the blender, add:
1 tablespoon of almond butter
1 tablespoon of freshly ground flaxseeds or ground chia seeds
1 teaspoon of cacao powder
1 teaspoon of cacao nibs
1-2 tablespoon of your favorite protein powder (I use hemp protein with maca powder)
2 tablespoon of organic coconut milk (from cane because its richer and tastier)
1 or 2 medjool dates or a teaspoon of maple syrup (optional)
1 tablespoon of shredded coconut flakes (optional)
